At Alateeqa we handle shipping ourselves, from Jerusalem to your door, wherever you are. The merchant hands us the piece in the Old City, and we inspect, pack, ship and track it until it reaches you. The same policy applies to every order, inside Palestine and abroad.
1. Preparation in Jerusalem
- We collect the piece from the merchant's shop and inspect it before packing.
- With every piece we include a certificate of origin confirming it comes from Jerusalem's Old City, plus a card with the merchant's name and souq.
- Preparation time: 2 to 4 business days from order confirmation.
2. Packaging
- Double-wall cartons and bubble protection for every piece.
- Wooden crates or special padding for ceramics, glass and fragile pieces.
- Optional gift wrapping with a card in your name.
3. Shipping & delivery
- We ship by tracked express courier through trusted carriers.
- Expected delivery time: 4 to 7 business days after dispatch, for most destinations.
- Your tracking number is emailed to you as soon as the parcel leaves.
4. Shipping cost
- The shipping cost is shown at checkout, and it includes preparation, premium packaging and the certificate of origin with no separate fees.
- Free shipping on orders over $600.
5. Insurance
- Shipment insurance is optional on all orders.
- Orders over $500 are insured at no extra cost.
6. Customs & taxes
Some countries charge customs duties or taxes on incoming parcels; these are paid by the buyer according to their country's rules.
7. If your piece arrives damaged
Photograph the parcel and the piece within 48 hours of delivery and send us the photos, and we will replace the piece or refund you in full.
8. Delays
We do our best to meet these timeframes, but delays beyond our control can happen due to holidays, closures, weather or carrier conditions. We will let you know right away about any delay.
